I moved here around 2020, I'm in my 30s, it's a nice small town but everything you need is here. But the outskirts are pretty stunning with massive cheap blocks out around river heads, pretty much on the water. There is a lot of building happening now so won't be cheap for long.\n\nIf I had a partner I was moving with or knew a few mates already there then I'd consider it but moving there on your own I'd imagine would suck, very odd vibe with the people, not overly friendly.\n\nFor a holiday home/investment I'd say a 100% perfect for that", "body": "

If you're a city person who likes a lot going on then it would suck. But the outskirts are pretty stunning with massive cheap blocks out around river heads, pretty much on the water. There is a lot of building happening now so won't be cheap for long.

If I had a partner I was moving with or knew a few mates already there then I'd consider it but moving there on your own I'd imagine would suck, very odd vibe with the people, not overly friendly.

For a holiday home/investment I'd say a 100% perfect for that

Hi all, have a job offer in Hervey. Need genuine insight from people living there, ideally people who have made the move there (not just disgruntled locals) how do you like/dislike living there? Best areas and areas to avoid? The reason I'm looking at HB is I prefer living in a smaller town with an emphasis on lifestyle over hustle and bustle.
