switching salons

hi all, due to some new management at my current salon i’m looking into moving to something closer to home. i applied at 4 salons online with the expectation that i would go in and hand out resumes with my portfolio link to other nearby salons.
background: i’m working at a franchise salon (hourly + tips) - strictly cuts, and have gotten great at mens cuts. i’ve always wanted to go into full service, but wanted to make sure my confidence was there first. i applied at the four salons, and scheduled an interview at one, and the second salon offered me a job after a very quick phone interview (>5 minutes) is this normal? i’m also unsure if the pay is competitive or not as i’ve only had my license for one year, working at the same franchise with a much higher starting pay. any tldr: is a job offer sight unseen sketchy, and how do i judge if the pay is fair? edit for the spelling errors i caught
