I hate how they handle Cristina not wanting kids.
I'm in season 7, shortly before Callie has her kid, while the ... parenting throuple are arguing about tests Callie is supposed to get or not.
I hate how the show handles Cristina wanting to remain childless. I hate that she gets pregnant TWICE despite not wanting children. I understand that a permanent solution to that is not easily obtained in the US, but I also don't understand why they never even talk about it. THAT would have been a point worth making.
(Spoiler for latest seasons) That would be a point worth making NOW. Like, they're talking about reproductive care more in the current seasons, but for some reason, we don't really get a safe sex talk that I recall? Or a talk about alternative measure of preventing pregnancy? And now we don't have the surgical OB giants as series regulars anymore ....
I hate that Owen and her won't split somewhat amicably before Cristina leaving the show is very close on the horizon.
Like, that is a marital difference that you don't just EXPECT someone to get over. Yes, people change their minds, but to go along with a relationship EXPECTING someone to change their mind about something as fundamental as HAVING KIDS is - frankly - insane.
Can someone explain Owen's thinking to me? Like, I'm at the point where I don't yet hate him for yelling at a child's birthday party, and I would like to understand his perspective. Why in the world would he want to stay married to Cristina who just told him in no uncertain terms that she will not have children. Ever.
Like, I get how Cristina thinks somewhat? She probably thinks that her husband accepts her decision on some level? Or something?
Although, while we're on the topic, I feel like Cristina and Owen would probably not be friends if they weren't sleeping together ... is sexual attraction really that .. powerful?
(I don't understand sexual attraction if y'all hadn't guessed, I lack the allosexuality for that)
