Someone stop me from switching

So, I was an early adopter of Google Home. We have a Gen1 Google Home Mini in almost every room in the house (yes, even the master bathroom), a Gen1 Google Home Hub in the kitchen and a Nest Hub Max in the living room. We've also pieced together a smart home over the years with light switches, plugs, bulbs, etc.

I've been happy with it up until the last year or so. It's been so inconsistent in it's performance. I ask it to turn on the guest room light, and it turns on the dining room light. It can't answer simple questions that it used to get from Wikipedia.

We just went under contract on a new build in a D.R. Horton neighborhood. We decided to spring for the smart home package that gives us already built in smart switches, dimmers, a video doorbell with a monitor we can place anywhere in the house, etc.

I was thinking about using this opportunity to start over from scratch and get new Alexa devices. I do like having everything (phone, car, home) on the same ecosystem, though. Can anyone talk me out of switching? Do we think the devices will get better once Gemini is fully integrated? I'd love to hear folks' thoughts.
