What mental tricks have you found successful on the course?
I went to practice my putting today and have typically struggled with nailing 3-5ft putts during my rounds.
Out of the blue, I recalled how when you high-five someone, people say you should look at each others elbows and you'll get a perfect high-five.
I translated that mental trick to the putting green and instead of looking at my club head/ball during my wobbly-ass stroke, I locked my eyes on the hole instead and whaddya know, I started sinking them with ease. I look forward to trying this during a round, but at minimum, it gave me confidence during my practice session and I liked how it took my mind off overthinking my putting stroke on such a short putt.
