How come every service in Deutschland is so expensive despite pretty low median incomes?
Ok, some numbers just don't add up for me. I'm a qualified worker from Eastern Europe, came here 3 years ago, work for a company from the US, 100k+ yearly income. I guess it's considered a good salary here, yet every damn service still feels rather expensive: 1 hour of driving practice - 75 euros, painting rooms in your flat - 2-3 days of work, get ready to get rid of 1.5-2k euros. I'm just curious, how can people afford it here. And if they don't, how are these services still profitable? It just feels like things were different 10-15 years ago based on the stories from the "veterans". Is it just a downward spiral of inflation and overall stagnation or am I missing something here?
