Diagnose my nib problem

So I recently bought a used ST Dupont. I really enjoy it but it is having hard starts and then occasionally does this. I can't appreciate any abnormality on a loupe, the tines look aligned, I ran a copper shim through it but it still has a hard start. I think this might be baby's bottom?
