Question for Jet Pilots

This one is about jet engine performance in a stall. Just before my PPL check ride I figured out that I could listen for an increase or decrease in RPM during usual attitude recover. With my eyes closed I could tell if the airplane was climbing or descending by just using my ears, making the recover half a second quicker.

Is the same turn for a jet engine? If the aircraft is in high nose up attitude and the airspeed is bleeding off pending a stall, with the manifold pressure slowly roll back just like a piston propeller plane would? And if so, could you hear it?

I think it would, I’m just unsure of the which craft of jet engines. Jet pilots, let me know your thoughts and help me win/lose an argument.
