around someone who had nv last week… how screwed am i?

the title basically says it all… my mom went to dinner with her friend and rode in their car next to their son who also had it last week. i was running errands and stopped by the restaurant to say hi and was telling my moms friend how i had flu A last week and she says “omg I had NV”. i was sitting next to her and just froze. my mom kept trying to reassure me and said “it was before new years you’re fine”.. well after grilling my mom it was actually on new year’s eve that she was s*, which was 10 days ago.

i’m so irritated.. i know most people aren’t contagious by this point but it can live up to 2 weeks. she was so excited to grab my arm and tell me how s* she was - even saying it was “worse than childbirth”. like thanks for that information i guess? anyways.. how screwed am i or my mom? i’ve been so anxious since going back to school this week. i just need this to be over. i feel like im just waiting for something bad to happen.
