Any advice to becoming a faster worker

Currently 4 months into my apprenticeship and been learning a lot and enjoying the trade, but I feel like I am lacking speed. Most other tasks I think I finish at a decent pace and install comes out fine, but piping has been a struggle for me this past week. For the most part I know what I'm doing, but I definitely think i'm working way too slow. I'm thinking it might have to do with the fact I keep overthinking shit or complicating it, but I can't seem to break this habit no matter what. My JW has been flying through his share of this piping job, and I don't want to get in trouble or thrown off the job for not pulling my own weight.
