CCI, Chiari, testing

Wondering how it works to get test for both/either when not a lot of drs know of them? I brought it up to my pcp and I got a normal MRI done of my head and cervical spine but it came back normal but from reading it usually can look normal laying down. But like how does one go from PCP to neurologist to neurologist who knows what CCI and Chiari are and can rule them out or dx them? Do I just ask my pcp for the specific upright MRI and then submit them to my closest neurosurgeon who specializes in it?

Vent: I'm in excruciating pain rn and im very insistent its not just from poor posture like my dr thinks(shes wonderful but she isnt an expert in these more rare things she just knows the basics of EDS), Im doing PT for it like she told me to and its making it worse ive literally never felt worse from my cervical spine pain and none of my meds are working i literally almost contemplated the ER yesterday bc it was so bad🫠 Ive even thought about scheduling a last minute pcp appt to talk it over with her to ask if i can use a neck brace for any amount of relief or if she has any other options.
