Anyone else feel a tad underwhelmed and disappointed? (Spoilers)

Didn't like the way that Kathy reveal was done. Felt it was completely wasted. Really clinging on to hope that she was just saying it to save Ians skin. I could've sworn it was announced that the attacker would be revealed in the live episode? Correct me if I'm wrong please
