Is gender affirming top surgery possible with physical disabilities ?
Hi, I am looking for advice and experiences on getting top surgery as a disabled person. I have so many questions. I am concerned if people with my medical conditions can successfully get and recover from top surgery. I have RA, scoliosis, and a connective tissue disease and I have never met anyone else who got top surgery with these diseases.... my main concern tho is my wheelchair... how am i supposed to push my manual wheelchair or use my smart drive post op? how am i supposed to lift my wheelchair in and out of my car? and how do i even find a surgeon who works with disabled people? I rely so much on my ability to reach and lift... I'm worried this means I won't ever be able to get top surgery.
