Finally!
Early last year, I wrote about getting extractions and another post about what to eat post extractions. I just got my teeth a week ago. Why did it take so long? I needed an additional procedure and my insurance did everything in their power to decline it and I did everything in my power to fight it. The dentist flagged 4 sections to grind. All 4 were declined, then 2 were approved and two were declined. Each appeal took over a month or so. The final appeal process was prolonged because my insurer subcontracted dental through (drumroll please) UHC and when they were out of reasons to deny and delay, kicked it back to my main insurance. So, here’s a messy morning shot of me. I am still getting used to talking, practicing my strange smile (i have nerve damage in my lower lip, it’s never going to be a symmetrical smile). And I have one question: what adhesive do you use? I use poly grip right now… my lowers still manage to come loose. I have a feeling it’s just something I’ll have to love with it but if any of you have suggestions, I’d be grateful!
