Need help with workflow for cutting clips
Hello everybody
I've been cutting together clips of my friend's youtube stream, and I want to refine my workflow a bit.
So here's what I usually do:
In Resolve, I bring in a 3-hour (ish) stream video as my only piece of media. I then go through make cuts and delete unnecessary sections of the video to pare it down. Sometimes I'll clip out smaller sections of silence/vocal pauses and then merge things back together as a compound clip. Once I make all the clips I want Compound Clips, then they show up in my Media Bin. Then (hopefully I've named them well) I split them up into different Media Bins (for different categories) if there are multiple topics from the stream (clips for Topic A into Topic A bin, etc.)
This feels a bit cumbersome to me. I would eventually like to have clips from multiple stream videos in a single "Topic" video. Here's what I want to do:
On a new Timeline, start with a single stream video. Go through my process of cutting, deleting, creating compound clips, naming, and (maybe) organizing them. I would then like to render out all of my compound clips and store them on my hard drive into different "Topic" folders. That way I can collect clips from multiple stream videos over a few days, and then put together a video of clips for a certain topic.
I'm okay with organizing things after I render everything out, so I guess what I need help with is this -
How do I make Resolve export each clip in my Media Bin/Timeline as a separate video, naming them each the name I gave each Compound Clip? I'd like to just split everything relevant into Compound Clips, throw them on the timeline, and then have it render. I don't want to mess with setting In/Out on the Deliver screen, and then click Add to Render Queue, over and over again for tons of different Compound Clips.
Thank you!
