Help with Duelboot

So i received a brand new laptop with windows 11 but i want to duel boot with Ubuntu. First i downloaded the ISO file and used etcher to put it onto a thumb drive. I also disabled my secure boot as well as bitlocker. But if i go into firmware settings and start to launch from the thumb drive the screen seems to get stuck on this screen.

Ive left it a few minutes already but im fearing il have to force shut down. Should i be patient can this take a while or has something gone wrong? And if i force shut down how do i start fixing the problem?

The buffer isnt loading at all i can just hear the laptops fan starts going and then steps and over and over.
