Wondering about resume gaps
In 2023 the industry that I had established myself in for 6 years collapsed and is still no longer in working condition. Because I was left to basically switch careers overnight, and the job market where I live is in shambles, it took me nearly a year to find even a part-time job. Because I'm disabled I do find it difficult to stay in one workplace for long, depending on what my role is (a lot of movement and juggling physical tasks, like retail and fast food/server roles), and the only jobs I'm good at (desk jobs that focus on problem-solving) are not willing to accommodate my university schedule while I pursue my career switch. My LinkedIn looks pretty bad right now as far as consistency and I'm not sure how to make it look presentable and in a way that will make people want to reach out to me when I apply for their jobs.
What I have listed right now (summarized): 6-year career with details about moving up the ladder and management experience; 3-month part-time job (started 8 months later) where I was let go because the place was engaging in wage theft and I was discovered giving my co-workers advice on how to get their money; 3-month insurance job (started 3 months later) that told me to resign because I started school on a part-time schedule and they didn't want to accommodate the slight shift in hours because of "policy"; my current part-time job (started 4 months later). I also have everything I did before my career but it's a bit spotty as well.
Would love some advice!
