American Tourist

My family and I will be visiting Vancouver for a couple days in the Spring. We are very respectful tourists and always mindful to avoid the harmful/annoying USA stereotypes. I’m still a little concerned because of the awful things our government and President have been saying about Canada and the threats made against Canadian sovereignty. Are people in Canada still generally welcoming to Americans if we are respectful?

Edit: Thank you to everyone who responded! I apologize if I didn’t reply to your post, I did get a lot and I tried! It seems the general consensus is to avoid politics and off color “jokes” about the 51st state (I would never!) and enjoy all the beauty Canada has to offer! I’m very excited for everything we have planned, we will only be shopping and eating at local businesses, and I can’t wait to try real maple syrup! And don’t worry, I won’t try to pay with USD!

Thank you all so much for your kind replies!
