Dear all
I know things seem super grim right now, but frankly despite all the predictions, we can't truly know what will happen.
For all you know Marc Miller could just come out and close express entry entirely or stop immigration as a whole. Either way there's no way to truly find out.
Plus some good things have come out. For instance, 3 year PGWPs are available for master's programs now that aren't 2 years!
My view on international students is this: Being an international student doesn't guarantee PR, but it can POTENTIALLY open doors. Nothing is promised and if you get it, then yay but if you don't, have a plan B.
As for the current stance on immigrants, ignore the noise and focus on your journey. It's the best you can do. Don't blame the Canadians because they're suffering right now. Rather just understand their struggles and do what you can to not make the problem worse (follow the law, accept whatever happens, don't be entitled and assimilate to Canada). While right now the image of immigrants may look bad, this is our chance to change that image and become immigrants that Canada wants!
Anyways I wish all of you guys good luck and take care. Merry Christmas!
