please recommend well written fics

I’m a new buddie enthusiast! and as one does, have made my way onto ao3.

the fics i’ve seen so far are cute.. but nothing else. I wish i could turn my brain off and enjoy them but they don’t really do it for me. I fear i crave thought out, well written fics of true substance.

my preferences are fics that are 100k+ and are excruciatingly slow burn. meaning they don’t even view each other as anything but best friends till at least half or later in the fics. when they do realize they have feelings for each other, their love becomes all encompassing and intoxicating.

I also salivate over good writing. the ones i’ve seen so far are fun but juvenile and i want something that’ll hook me. I want something that sort of takes itself seriously.

Angst welcomed with open arms but happy ending is a must.
