I’m worried about my baby

Hi,

I’m needing some advice and words of encouragement. I rescued my ball python exactly a week ago. We weren’t expecting her so we’ve had to do a ton of research and gotten lots of helps from you guys and fb groups, but I’m still learning and getting to know my Crumb. When she first got to us she only had a small bowl and one hiding spot. We got her a log, a heat lamp, a big bowl, a new hiding spot for the cool side, and moss and new nice bedding as soon as we got her, and she seemed pretty happy with that. A few days later I got her a ton of new plants and kind of rearranged her whole enclosure… but now she’s been freaked out. She’s been hiding almost all the time at night, and every time she’s chilling outside she seems extra nervous (S shaped and breathing hard) and constantly flinching when we walk by her tank. I’m not sure if this is normal and she just needs time to adapt to her new environment, but if that’s the case I would love for someone to put me at ease. We haven’t handled her or fed her, we’re giving her time and space, but I’m just worried about this new development. She’s been through some major changes, so I’m hoping that’s she’s just stressed about it and nothing else. She’s not really close to shedding I think, because of how her skink and eyes look, and she was fed a day before I rescued her. I think this is all the background you could need.
