Boss blinds right now are bad design and should be overhauled in the update.

As they exist currently, boss blinds in Balatro aren't bosses at all (i.e. a test of the skills that you've learned up to that point). They're basically just filters for particular builds, and especially on later antes, the effect is either completely inconsequential or singlehandedly tanks an otherwise good run. In my opinion, boss blinds should be a challenge that affects most runs, but doesn't just end the game if you don't get lucky with vouchers. Essentially, we need less boss blinds like The Plant or The Needle, and more like The Wall or The Flint.
