Does wall material/insulation affect sound quality?
In NZ our wall insulation is terrible by international standards: no concrete, very little sound insulation, not very thick. Whereas I hear in other parts of the world, the walls are much thicker and made with concrete plus multiple insulative materials (not for sound per se but still).
I'm wondering if this difference is enough to result in noticeable differences for budget home recording setups, are the walls absorbing sound any differently?
