The slap bracelet???

First of all, SOOO cool to see jackie with the other girls rather than just Shauna, and the younger timeline as well, but can we talk about the slap bracelet scene because it’s kinda lost on me what all that meant besides trying to wake them up. Like I know it was a trip, but what’s the message behind it??

Was it like a purity thing? Or a belief thing? Akilah did it and didn’t get cut, Van did it and got a small cut but was otherwise fine, and then well Jackie launched it at Shauna and basically slit her throat. That was SCARY. I definitely need to rewatch.
