Budget vacumes for carpet with a dog?

I'm moving out into my first apartment, newlywed, and very broke lol. The cheaper the better, 50-80 but i get vacumes are weirdly expensive. I have a dog that'll be going with us, and sheds a hot bit. With sensitive lungs I'm eager to keep the carpet clean, any suggestions?
