Dilemma - Redundancy and Job Search.
I’m at risk of redundancy but have been kept on till early June to support the transaction and restructuring, while this was a relief at the time when told back in 2024 as it gave me time it’s just delayed the inevitable.
I’ve been recently offered a new role at a competitor but they have offered me £7k less in salary (attempted to negotiate, didn’t happen) and in accepting this role I would forfeit my redundancy package.
I don’t think I should accept the role out of pure panic, as I feel I have plenty of time to find another role.
What’s everyone else’s thoughts? Should I accept to just secure employment and then maybe continue looking? Am I making the right decision?
