Not your usual "where to live" post

Hi, future neighbors. I'm in a bit of a bind and hoping the wonderful people of Reddit can lead me in the right direction.

My family and I have been in the process of relocating from NW Iowa this summer. My husband has been working in Shoreview and house hunting while the kids and i stayed in Iowa to sell our home there. Last weekend, we lost our home in the floods that rocked our area. We're safe and have been lucky to have family to stay with, but this has obviously pushed our home selling/buying process way back.

We're now scrambling to find rental companies, landlords, etc who may have single family homes ( we have pets and 2 boys, one of whom is deep in his terrible twos. I don't want to subject apartment neighbors to those tantrums 😉) that have an easy application process and quick move in times. We've owned our home in Iowa for several years, so we don't have any recent landlord references. I know we may be looking for a unicorn here, but I also believe in Minnesota magic.

Who do you love? Who should we avoid at all costs? ANY and all leads are so appreciated. We've been so excited to get moved up here, and now just have to make it happen a little quicker. We would love to have our family together and give our oldest some sense of home before starting school.
