I wish hairdressers would admit when they can’t do things

I’ve been trying to grow my hair out for literally over a year. My usual barber was cutting it way shorter (I just went here to get it touched up so it didn’t look super untidy while it was growing but they always shaved it when i asked them to just use scissors to tidy it up). So after growing my hair since about October I went to my sisters regular hair stylist today to get sorta like a pixie cut/wolf cut to allow my hair to grow into a nicer shape and allow me to grow up hair easier. She said she could do it no problem.

She completely butchered my hair. She cut the sides wayyyy shorter than what I asked for and cut my hair up and over my ears which I specifically told her I didn’t want when she asked me if she should cut it over my ears. I don’t think she really knew how to cut the style I wanted and just did it for the money/to keep my sister happy since she’s a regular client.

I’m actually really upset. I got so exited to have a haircut I could like and grow out and it’s so bad. I really want to just hide right now
