Silicone tape questions

Hi everyone! I have been using silicone tape for my scars for a bit over a month now and I have a hard time getting the edges to stick and stay down on my skin, especially in the middle of my chest where I have some chest hair, does anyone else have this problem? if so what tips do you have to help it stick.

The other thing is if I switch back to micropore tape that my surgeons office gave me is that ok and then go back to the silicone tape? when I switch back to silicone tape to I have to gradually increase the time I wear it each day like when I started it originally (thats what the instructions that came with it said to do) or can I just wear it all the time.
