Thousand Sons bronze trims

Hello there !! I am quite unsatisfied so far with my trims. I used Retributor Gold base with a Washington of Druchi Violet and a brush of Ironbreaker. I was wondering if anyone could tell me about the Citadel official guide (Retributor then Reikland wash with Sycorax bronze on top) is worth getting the paint ? I m lookong to get the same look as the artworks on boxes etc.
