S2 E15 Elena and Stefan

Stefan recounting how he and Lexi met, then says ‘Talking about her brings up stuff I’d rather forget :(’ and Elena decided to say ‘Damon killing her… :/’ instead of just being empathetic and not saying anything, but then I remember that she’s just a child here and clearly doesn’t know how to approach other people’s grief.

Reminds me of when Elena couldn’t answer a question in class in S1 and Mr Tanner basically randomly goes ‘Btw ur parents are dead’ for literally no reason.
