What does the ideal Avatar Video Game look like for you?

I've been thinking about this for a while now. I'd heard rumours a few months ago there might be an Avatar video game in development with an RPG focus, but nothing confirmed.

It got me thinking about what I'd want from such a game.

Primarily, the ideal bending system for me is something that mixes a fighting game system combo system with intuitive controls. E.g. In Ghost of Tsushima, there are stances you can change into and this changes the moveset. Or in Monster Hunter there's a flow chart of moves that must be performed in a set sequence. Something like this would probably be ideal for me.

As for story, I think Hogwarts Legacy did a good attempt at a "fractured start" - choosing your own Hogwarts House, but having the same general story beats. But for a world like this, I think a pre-determined character story would be more appealing to me than creating my own, if only because of the ability to make a more coherent story that way vs taking into account player choice.

I think a semi-open world would work well, but the Air Bison is pretty much the most versatile way of getting around, and even in the Kyoshi Novel they gave her a Bison to get around quickly despite being an Earth Avatar.

It'd probably take some really heavy funding to make something worth while and a reputable studio.
