Advice On Painting All These Vehicles

I've recently painted my Imperial Knight using brushes, l've been wondering due to the scale of the surface needed to finish all my vehicles of my Astra Militarum Army, that if using an Air Brush is the way to go. Does anyone have experience or tips on the pros and cons of air brushing and how difficult is it for a complete novice in painting to use?
