Body modifications

I am currently a Phys Ed student and am debating changing career paths because I want to be able to get body modifications. Will piercings and tattoos in visible places make me unhireable? I feel like I see more and more people with face/neck tattoos, piercings, and dyed hair but will it be possible to get a job as a teacher with these things?

Obviously I think the reasons for them not being allowed are backwards but such is life.
