Find better men, Taylor

Been listening to t.s. since I was 15, which was 16 years ago.

At 15, I related to teardrops and YBWM because I was best friends with a guy who would never like me.

At 19, I bawled my eyes out to Come Back, Be Here because I liked a boy who was in London who was too far away for us to have anything real.

Taylor's songs have always resonated with me but I'm now 31 and happily married and Taylor is still writing about boys/men that are bad for her (like John Mayer vs. Taylor Lautner, Tom Hiddleston vs. Joe Alwyn). Joe would never admit to liking Taylor and never chased her, but she was drawn to the drama over looking for someone stable and grounded like Tom. The same with Matty with whom she seems to have had a on and off situationship for a decade.

I thought it was romantic to pursue guys who were hot and cold because I enjoyed the thrill, but then I went to therapy after realising that I was attracting the same type of men, healed myself and then decided to date someone who was actually good for me.

It seems she has a good thing going with Travis, but honestly I don't trust the guy because we don't know whether his motivations are pure - his publicists had a 5 year plan for him to become as big as Dwayne Johnson and they could have nudged him to talk about her in his podcast to up his status (something I've been seeing in the news a lot lately - long forgotten celebrities making a comment, derogatory or otherwise, just so they'd get a few eyeballs).

Anyway, I just wish Taylor would heal herself, break the pattern of dating non-committal men/men who aren't good for her and find someone who truly loves her and her life, no strings attached and not for the status/fame.
