Modern controls are really good for the game

WAIT before you get mad, hear me out. This is my first fighting game ever, and I started with modern controls.

Actually, the very first fighting game I've tried was Street fighter 4 way back then, but I only played the single player against the CPU. I really liked the game, but I was a button masher, and I tried online for the first time and got absolutely destroyed.

The guy then messaged me after, saying I was playing like a fcking cnt and saying I should actually learn one character before wasting his time by going online.

After that, I never touched online again, I tried to do the combo trials but they were way too hard, and there weren't that many resources to 'learn' the game. Everyone was already a veteran that came from other fighting games and there was just no chance I'd win.

But modern controls in sf6, OH man, they helped me actually understand the game and play neutral, because I didn't have to focus so much on special inputs and combos. I got better at spacing, wake-up options, tech throws, anti air, etc. They were kinda like training wheels.

Now I'm at Plat 5 to diamond 3 in my characters, and playing with classic controls. I think modern controls really helps casual people like me get into the genre, and for a genre like fighting games, it's really important to get new players.

That's all I wanted to say. What do you guys think???
