Does anyone else’s work allow patients to take pictures/record the scan?

The protocol at my job is to allow patients to record their ultrasounds. Is this common? I do a lot of anatomy scans, and I find it distracting to have patients or their family members filming the whole time. But also, I have a really strict manager and I’m afraid of getting in trouble eventually if I tell everyone that they can’t film.
