Not able to control sound with phone buttons

With the other big problems in game right now I haven't seen anyone else mention this. Since the last update I haven't been able to control the sound level with the buttons on my phone when the game is open (android). I can obviously go into the game settings and change the sound levels for the game, but if I'm watching a video or listening to music while playing there is no way to turn that audio up or down without exiting the game or minimizing it. It's not a game breaking issue but it's annoying to say the least.

Anyone else noticing the same thing?
