I lost almost 50 pounds on semaglutides and was thrilled. Until I woke up one night with severe abdominal pain. Turned out that the drug caused a blockage my small intestine. My body couldn’t digest fruits and vegetables, peanuts and popcorn.

I spent three weeks in the hospital, went into kidney failure and had a chunk of my small intestine removed.
