Weekends vs. Weekdays in late April?

Going on Arizona adventure in late April. Planning to do 3 nights in Sedona and 4 in Tucson (plus a throw away night in Phoenix at the end), but I'm unsure of the order. How big of a difference are the crowds weekday vs. weekends in what I assume is prime seasons. Also, it's a school break for some places (like the district my wife works in), so I know that will add to the crowds. It would either be a Friday-Monday or a Tuesday-Friday in Sedona.

There is a more precipitous drop in lodging prices in Tucson than Sedona, so it would be advantageous to do Friday-Monday in Sedona, but I'm nervous the weekend in Sedona will be very, very crowded, to the point of being unpleasant. Will the weekdays be substantially less crowded? I'm thinking specifically the trails, restaurants and roads. We're totally onboard with shuttling to the trail heads where available.

I've only been to Sedona once before, for an overnight/a very packed half day while enroute to the Grand Canyon and Zion. It was the same time of year and IIRC a Thursday/Friday, it was very busy and this was pre-pandemic, so I imagine it's even worse now.
