How much does a shared server cost?

Hey Guys I am currently working on a particular app with some developers! I’m actually looking to found my own business and was hoping to get some servers because they need them for development. They are giving me a quote for shared servers, and honestly I think it’s way too high! I was hoping you could guide me as to whether they’re scamming me, or some other place I can get cheap servers
