Drinking alcohol after ablation?

Hello all!

I just had an ablation for mild SVT 5 days ago and am doing well so far. I am curious if anyone who’s had the ablation can speak on their experiences with alcohol and maybe caffeine use after getting surgery?

I am in college and anticipate wanting to get drunk in the future haha. It’s also my best friend’s 21st in a few days and my doctor told me I should be pretty okay to drink by then, which I was shocked by. I tried looking it up and have seen people with AFib saying they chose to never drink ever again after ablation as it increased the chance of arrhythmia reoccurring. I also saw stuff that said to just avoid it as long as you can and the heart takes about 3 months to fully heal, which my doctor didn’t tell me.

Also for reference, alcohol never seemed to trigger my episodes before the surgery.

So I just wanna know people’s experience if you’re a drinker and had ablation for SVT- how soon after surgery did you drink/get drunk or did you have any negative experiences drinking afterwards?
