Diagnosed with Rosacea - Thoughts?
I'm new here! Starting late last year, I got a rash on my face that started over my nose and cheeks, spreading a bit before disappearing 4 weeks after it started. Then, it came back a few weeks later; I've now had it for about 7-8 weeks. I've seen several doctors and a dermitologist for it because it's on my face and uncomfortable, when I got diagnosed with Rosacea.
Here's what I need thoughts on: it doesn't seem like Rosacea to me. I won't post pictures right now (I can later if people want/need me to), but it's been strange. It's slowly spread out over my entire face below my eyebrows, mostly under my eyes and down into my neck a bit. It's red. That makes sense, but it's over producing so much skin. I have to exfoliate nightly or the skin build-up is very, very painful. It's also incredibly dry. It's up under my eyes and now a bit on my upper eye lids, but I have no ocular symptoms. There's no visible veins and it's not itchy. Nothing seems to really 'cause' it. The biggest thing I've noticed: hydrocortisone cream works extremely well on it. It helps reduce the redness and skin production. I've had no acne, at least not more than I've had previously.
Do you guys think this sounds like rosacea? If so, what type? I'm trying to do what's right for my skin but I'm confused. Thank you guys!
