Is the average level higher than before?

I was diamond 1/2 a year and a half ago, I stopped playing and I went back to comp, I got littéraly oblitérate (but actually it's logical as I'm not as good as before) but After weeks I'm plat 3, and seeing replays of me when I was diamond it seems liké i'm prolly the same level/ a tiny bit better than before, so am I stupid or the ancient diamond 1-2 is now plat 3?
