Check-in alu cabin on purpose?

2 months ago I bought an alu cabin and it has c. 20 flights under its belt so far. Perfect upgrade from my 20yr old 2-wheel PC cabin - only problem, it still looks nearly new.

I do like Rimowas with patina and history much more than factory-new pieces. So thinking about checking it in on a few flights on purpose to have the suitcase be pushed around at the airport and get some marks. Would you do it or am I crazy?
