First time out of early game
Only started playing a couple weeks ago but this game already occupies most of my time. This is my first base to get past fabrication, after 3 failed attempts to figure out what to prioritize in this game and how much space I'll end up needing.
In this playthrough (day 87), I've completely ignored any quests from the empire and instead am trying to improve relations with the outlander faction to eventually become allies.
Lost tribe start with custom xenotype (go-juice dependant, nearsighted, never sleep) pawns. I feel like never sleep is a bit OP, but my pawns do care about comfort so it was a bit disadvantageous in the early game. Still had to prioritize complex furniture just for the armchairs. All gay misandrists. Only two men have been recruited: one ancient slave and one body purist with prosthetic limbs. Somehow both are pretty damn happy in the screenshot. Possibly the best thing to happen to this colony: my scavenger pawn got trauma savant. She now scans for minerals and runs to the location with her bionic ass self at 200% movement. We have much gold.
Ideology is animal personhood, tree connection and high life. Guaranlen trees are off-screen. Despite being in the Arid region, I never really used wood despite easy access to cacti that don't affect tree connection meme. Just felt wrong. We raid any hostile camps who practice deforestation or hunting.
Anyway, just wanted to share this base/colony story. If it seems interesting to anyone, I will give more details on our story so far.
