Help with Casting Base Material

I have made this sculptural table, which I need to fill with a small layer of polyester resin and Qcel to create the top of the table (which will be flipped to have the open end as the base). What material should I use as a flat sheet to act as a base for the mould whilst I pour? It needs to me smooth so I can spray paint afterwards.
