Neutering males to put with females?
I started with female rats and have kept them for a while, but I'm now planning on switching to male rats and was hoping to get some soon. However, I still have a few females left.
I don't want to wait until they all die to get new males, so I was wondering if it would be worth getting 2-3 younger males and neutering them before introducing them to my females?
I've heard mixed things about neuters. Luckily, they're not insanely pricy where I am. I'm moreso worried about the risks and whatnot.
What would be some things to think about?
Thanks!
