Public speaking - can’t present at work

Whenever I’m in a meeting and have to present on a topic, my heart starts racing and I lose the ability to get words out. I don’t know what causes this. Yes I get nervous but I am also confident and always prepared. The weird thing is, after I stop and catch my breath and “restart”, I am usually totally fine. I’m also fine at answering questions - it’s only when I am asked to introduce / explain something for more than a few sentences. It’s almost like the idea of the “spotlight” being on me is what makes my heart / brain short circuit.

Beta blockers help but I have to present a lot these days and don’t want to rely on them forever (and they are causing weight gain).

Anyone else has this specific issue? Should I see a public speaking coach? Or a therapist?
