False promises and the state of the game

This post is prompted essentially by another post that talked about people downvoting positive threads.

I wanna say that people are not downvoting positive threads or comments, they are downvoting fanboy threads and threads that are against criticism.

In a game where build diversity should shine, the exact opposite is happening. There are currently 5-6 viable builds. If you build anything, and I truly mean anything, else you will for the most part never reach 7 wins. The state of the game right now (beta or not) is truly terrible and the worst part is the false promises made by reynad that screw with people's perspectives. They were projecting to launch in December so people where expecting a game that is pretty far along in its development cycle, yet what we have here is everything but that.

The open beta is moved to January which will be moved to February. A 5 year development cycle is apparently not enough and the developers keep trying new stuff without true focus. It's a mess and the false promise of the game launching in December seems even more scummy given the fact that we essentially paid to test a game we thought was far along while in fact it was not. They just probably needed money and went into "closed beta" which is an Alpha test at best. A great concept doesn't make a game. Pretty graphics and art don't make a game. Fun gameplay or great writing make a game good. This is online so the story part is out of question therefore the only thing left is to make the gameplay fun. It currently isn't due to the meta.

Fix the meta, make the economy good, don't have scummy practices and the game will be good. If you fail those things, the game will die during 2025. You can't make a first impression twice so be careful of what the state of the game will be in its open beta launch.
